EXPERIMENTAL CHOIR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF RHODES

It was created in 1992 by George Sakellaridis who is still it's conductor.

It has given a lot of concerts in Greece. It has worked with Mikis Theodorakis for a performance of his works "Axion Esti" and "Zorbas", with Alkis Baltas in the performance of religious works, with Antonis Kontogeorgiou and Marcus Huber in the presentation of "The Lord of the Rings" symphony by Howard Shore.

It has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Greek Broadcasting Corporation, the Symphony Orchestra of the Greek National Opera and the Symphony Orchestra of the Greek Festival of Athens.

The Experimental Choir of the Municipality of Rhodes has also participated in choir meetings abroad. It has performed in Cyprus, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, France and the Czech Republic. It has collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of Sofia (Bulgaria) in the performance of opera extracts.

It has recorded works by: Monteverdi, Teleman, Bach, Rossini, Pergolesi, Theodorakis, Chatzidakis etc.
